In a gesture of support and solidarity, Binance’s co-founder Changpeng Zhao, popularly known as CZ, has made a significant donation to assist those affected by the recent earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand.
Binance’s CZ Donates 1,000 BNB to Myanmar and Thailand for Earthquake Relief
Following the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck NEAR Mandalay, Myanmar, affecting both Myanmar and Thailand, Changpeng Zhao, co-founder of Binance and known as CZ, has donated 1,000 BNB to support disaster relief efforts. The funds will be split evenly between the two countries. Zhao plans to use Binance Thailand for distribution but may consider other third parties. The earthquake has caused over 1,000 injuries, and the death toll is expected to rise. Myanmar’s junta chief, Min Aung Hlaing, has requested aid for the recovery effort.
